MEET THE STAFF

 BUILDING DEPARTMENT

Located in Town Hall with the General Administration  Staff, the Building Department is currently comprised of two (2) members.

Randy Robinson, Chief Building Official/Acting Zoning Administrator

Manages all building related matters and inspections; serves as Town's code enforcement officer and flood plain manager; assists Zoning Administrator with zoning matters.  Randy has worked for the Town for over twenty years, in the fire and then building departments.  An Island native, Randy lives with his wife and two children in Mt. Pleasant. 

Kat Kenyon, Permit Technician

Handles all building related permits and licenses; spearheads the Town's business license program; recording clerk for Design Review Board and Tree Commission, handling applications and notices.  Assists Kent and Randy with building deparment related administrative matters.  Kat joined the Town in late 2004 with previous building permit experience at the Town of Mount Pleasant Building Department.
