Town of Sullivan's Island Garbage Collection
The Town contracts with a vendor to handle Island-wide collection of
household garbage, bulk trash and yard debris.
Recyclable items are collected curbside by Charleston County Recycling Department.

Please contact your Town Hall (843)883-3198 (option #3/#0) with a trash collection question or to report concerns. Town Staff and our vendor have established a procedure to report any of your concerns and facilitate a quick resolution for you.
* Trash & yard debris are only collected from residences, not vacant lots or residences where lawn contractors have done lawn maintenance.
* Trash should be placed curbside in roll out carts by 7:00AM on collection and rolled back from curb by 7:00PM that day.
Our vendor attempts to collect some or all yard debris from every residence island-wide every week. Depending upon the volume of yard debris, our vendor may collect some of your yard debris and return that day or the next yard debris collection day to collect the remainder. This policy ensures all residents have an opportunity to get some yard debris collected before trucks reach maximum collection capacity.
Lawn Contractors & Arborists must remove their own debris
Use Paper Bags for clippings & leaves (no plastic)
Cut limbs to four (4') feet or less
Loose debris placed in trash cans clearly marked as yard debris
Clearing a vacant lot? Plan to remove your own yard debris
